أصدر مكتب لجنة الأمم المتحدة المعنية بممارسة الشعب الفلسطيني لحقوقه غير القابلة للتصرف بيانا رحب فيه بتشكيل حكومة الوفاق الوطني لدولة فلسطين برئاسة رئيس الوزراء رامي الحمد الله وأدائها اليمين القانونية في 2 يونيو أمام الرئيس محمود عباس في رام الله وسيكون من مهام هذه الحكومة التحضير للانتخابات التشريعية والرئاسية في غضون ستة أشهر وإعادة إعمار قطاع غزة. ورحب المكتب بالضمانات التي قدمها الرئيس عباس ورئيس الوزراء الحمد الله بالتزام الحكومة الجديدة باحترام الاتفاقات السابقة والمبادرات السياسية الدولية والحلول السلمية. كما أعرب المكتب عن رضائه لاستجابة الفصائل الفلسطينية الرئيسية للرغبة الشعبية العارمة من أجل الوحدة وإنهاء الخلافات والإتفاق على المضي قدما مضيفا أن   المجتمع الدولي، بما في ذلك اللجنة الرباعية، دعا الفلسطينيون إلى توحيد صفوفهم خلف القيادة الشرعية للرئيس عباس

 وذكر مكتب اللجنة أن تشكيل الحكومة الجديدة هو خطوة أولى حاسمة نحو إعادة توحيد الشعب الفلسطيني في الضفة الغربية وقطاع غزة وهو مصلحة حيوية لكل من يريد بصدق تحقيق السلام ودعا إلى إيجاد حل سريع لجميع قضايا المصالحة العالقة من أجل إعادة إدماج قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية في المجالات المؤسسية والاقتصادية والأمنية و إجراء انتخابات حرة ونزيهة وتفعيل اتفاقية عام 2005 بشأن التنقل والعبور لإعادة فتح المعابر بصفة مستمرة  وإعادة بناء اقتصاد قطاع غزة. ودعا المكتب جميع الأطراف الإقليمية والدولية الى العمل بشكل بناء لتحقيق هذه الغاية  مؤكدا، على وجه الخصوص، على ضررورة إنهاء  الحصار الإسرائيلي المفروض على قطاع غزة  للسماح للحكومة الجديدة بمعالجة التحديات الإنسانية والاقتصادية والسياسية والأمنية الخطيرة هناك بشكل فعال. ورحب المكتب بعبارات الدعم لعملية المصالحة الفلسطينية التي صدرت من جميع أنحاء العالم، بما في ذلك التصريحات الاخيرة من قبل الجهات المانحة الرئيسية عن عزمها التعاون مع الحكومة الجديدة بما يتماشى مع إلتزاماتها والحفاظ على تدفقات التمويل والبيانات الداعمة من قبل الأمم المتحدة وأمينها العام بان كي مون

 في نفس الوقت أدان المكتب الموقف الرافض الذي إعتمدته حكومة إسرائيل، بما في ذلك قرارها بتعليق محادثات السلام والتجميد الجزئي للإيرادات الفلسطينية وعرقلة حرية الحركة لوزراء الحكومة الفلسطينية بين قطاع غزة والضفة الغربية وعرقلة إجراء الانتخابات الفلسطينية

 ودعا المكتب المجتمع الدولي إلى إغتنام هذه الفرصة للتحرك بشكل حاسم لدفع عملية السلام إلى الأمام وفقا لقرارات مجلس الأمن ومبادرة السلام العربية  من أجل تحقيق الرؤية المشتركة لدولتين، إسرائيل وفلسطين، تعيشان جنبا الى جنب في سلام وأمن

5 June 2014 – 47 Years of Occupation and Relentless Israeli Colonization

Excellency,

Today, the Palestinian people somberly mark the 47th year of the Israeli military occupation.  Regrettably, the gross oppression, colonization, violation of Palestinian human rights and denial of Palestinian national rights and aspirations that have characterized this occupation for decades since its onset in 1967, persist to this day as we witness the unrelenting crimes, provocations and intransigence of Israel, the occupying Power, in flagrant disrespect of international law and of the demands and will of the international community.

The Palestinian people and their leadership stand united in rejecting this illegitimate, belligerent and destructive occupation in all its manifestations and in appealing and striving for a peaceful, just and comprehensive solution, in accordance with international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions.  That solution must guarantee the end of the Israeli occupation that began in June 1967 and the independence of the State of Palestine, with East Jerusalem as its capital, and ensure the fulfillment of the inalienable rights of the Palestinian people and the achievement of just solutions for all outstanding core issues.  This position was clearly reaffirmed by the Palestinian national unity government sworn in by President Mahmoud Abbas on 2 June 2014. 29 May 2014 – Al-Aqsa and Palestinian Prisoners on Hunger Strike

Excellency,

I write to alert you to the critical situation and continuously rising tensions in the Occupied State of Palestine, including East Jerusalem, as a result of Israel’s relentless provocations and illegal actions against the Palestinian people. On a daily basis, the occupying Power persists with its grave violations of international humanitarian and human rights law, which include rampant settlement activities, military raids, systematic detention and arrest of Palestinians, constant provocations, including incitement at holy sites and destruction of Palestinian property by extremist Israeli settlers, as well as the suffocating blockade on the Gaza Strip.  All of these violations are exacerbating conditions on the ground, intensifying the hardships faced by the Palestinian people and solidifying doubts regarding Israel’s so-called desire for peace. Distinguished Delegates,

On behalf of the State of Palestine and the Palestinian people, those who live under Israeli occupation and in other places, I am honored to participate in this IBSA event and exhibition on the margins of the High Level Committee on South-South Cooperation. I take this opportunity to join other delegations in highlighting the admirable initiatives of IBSA to fight poverty and hunger and commend IBSA on the unveiling of the 2014 IBSA Fund Report. As one of the beneficiaries of the IBSA Fund, the State of Palestine expresses its deep appreciation for the development assistance extended to the Palestinian people by the Fund as a concrete demonstration of solidarity within the context of South-South cooperation. I would also like to share the beneficial impact of recently completed IBSA projects and ongoing new initiatives in Palestine being undertaken in cooperation with relevant Government Ministries and institutions. بعث السفيرالدكتور رياض منصور، المراقب الدائم لدولة فلسطين لدى الأمم المتحدة في نيويورك، رسائل متطابقة إلى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة ورئيس مجلس الأمن (جمهورية كوريا) ورئيس الجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة، حول مرور 66 عاماً منذ النكبة ومأساة عام 1948 والتي اقتلعت غالبية الفلسطينيين قسراً وتسببت في طردهم من ديارهم وأراضيهم فراً وخوفاً على حياتهم بعد المذابح الوحشية التي ارتكبتها الميليشيات والقوات الإسرائيلية ضد الآلاف من الأبرياء من الفلسطينيين والتي تسببت في تشريد أكثر من 750,000 منهم والذين أصبحوا لاجئين في أجزاء أخرى من فلسطين، وفي البلدان المجاورة، وهي: الأردن ولبنان وسوريا. وذكر السفير منصور ان اليوم يعيش أكثر من 5 ملايين من اللاجئين الفلسطينيين في مخيمات اللاجئين التي تديرها الأونروا في المنطقة. 15 May 2014 – Al-Nakba and Israeli Killing of Palestinian Boys

On this day, the Palestinian people somberly mark the passage of 66 years since Al-Nakba, the tragedy in 1948 by which the majority of Palestinians were forcibly uprooted and expelled from their homes and lands in Mandate Palestine, or fled in fear for their lives after the brutal massacres perpetrated by Israeli militias and forces against thousands of innocent Palestinian men, women, children and elderly persons in villages and towns throughout the land in a clear act of ethnic cleansing. Violently displaced and dispossessed, more than 750,000 Palestinians became refugees in other parts of Palestine and in neighboring countries, namely Jordan, Lebanon and Syria. Today, the Palestinian refugees number more than 5 million people, with the majority of them living in refugee camps administered by UNRWA throughout the region. [Read more…]

I regret to inform you of the continuing turmoil and deterioration of the situation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, due to the illegal, provocative policies being carried out by Israel, the occupying Power, against the Palestinian people. On a daily basis, Israel is perpetrating grave violations of international law, including humanitarian and human rights law, threatening to further destabilize the already-fragile situation and seriously undermine the future of the peace process, which has been suspended by Israel’s unilateral decision to halt negotiations. عقد مجلس الأمن جلسته الشهرية حول الحالة في الشرق الأوسط، بما في ذلك قضية فلسطين، وألقى السفير الدكتور رياض منصور، المراقب الدائم لدولة فلسطين لدى الأمم المتحدة، كلمة ذكر فيها أنه منذ مناقشة مجلس الأمن الأخيرة بشأن هذه المسألة، كانت هناك العديد من التطورات على الأرض وفي العملية السياسية. وقد نبهت بعثة دولة فلسطين المجلس في رسائل عديدة إلى ازدياد التوتر و تدهور الوضع بسبب إنتهاكات إسرائيل المستمرة وتنكرها لإتفاق إطلاق سراح الأسرى الفلسطينيين ومواصلة إجراءاتها غير القانونية وخاصة تكثيف الأنشطة الإستيطانية والإعتداءات المتواصلة على الحرم الشريف  بالقدس الشرقية المحتلة ثم قرارها الأحادي الجانب بوقف المفاوضات.
